Deferring a QTAC offer |

All domestic applicants offered admission to undergraduate award courses may apply to defer commencement of their study. A deferment application will not normally be considered for courses where specific admission requirements apply, for example submission of folios or undertaking auditions. Applicants are not entitled to hold a deferred place and hold a place in another QUT course for the same period. Applicants may request an extension of deferment for up to a further 12 months on the basis of demonstrated special circumstances. Special circumstances are those:
Applicants will be invited to apply for a 12 month extension mid-way through their initial 12 month deferment period. Applicants currently on deferment from 2010 QTAC offers may also request an extension for up to a further 12 months on the basis of demonstrated special circumstances. Applications should be forwarded to qut.ugapplications@qut.edu.au and include all required special circumstances documentation. Alternatively applications may be mailed to: The Client Service Coordinator (QTAC), QUT Admissions, Kelvin Grove Campus, Qld, 4059. Applications must be received by Monday, 3 January 2011 in order to receive consideration. Course availabilityQTAC deferment is available for most courses. The exceptions are courses with additional entry requirements, eg auditions, portfolios, interviews, questionnaires, Dean's Scholars, prior studies, prior work experience etc. Please visit Studyfinder for your QTAC course's deferment status.
